Apple, Google workers out to court $415 million!
A deal of $415 million by the Silicon Valley Tech giants of four gets ready to approve by the federal judge to settle the antitrust lawsuit that was in a row to accuse these tech giants of the conspiracy by not recruiting each other’s employees.
This was heard on Monday as the Federal judge, Lucy Koh supported the proposed settlement by Adobe Systems with Intel, Google and Apple. But they were scheduled for the last approval and that hearing would be in July.
These reports are according to the San Jose Mercury News. Lucy Koh, the federal judge back in August rejected the companies settlement offer of $324.5 million. The judge said that the employees deserve more who suffered by the no-poaching policies.
These companies filed a motion in January in the US District Court in San Jose, in Calif and then a new proposed statement given was revealed. On this issue the companies, Intel, Adobe and Apple did not give any official statements yet and did not prefer to comment. Google commented on this issue but at a request.
This complaint was filed by the former employees in the year 2011, the law accused these tech companies along with the Lucasfilm, Intuit and the Pixar which is the Animation Studio for carrying out the “Interconnected Web” They made an aggrement between 2005 and 2009. They planned not to hire each other’s workers so that they could keep the salaries low. This incident took the world’s attention as this happened in big companies.
